Hi

Its 9.5 hours a day with 1 hr of breaks during the day.

Making it a 8.5 hour day which is not bad at all in the industry compared to some that don't include travel time.

Sean

Might be worth having a look at the links to Charlies website and seeing the calibre of the work that he does. I for one would definately take less of a wage to gain some of the experience that the employment would offer and I think that for someone to have an employed experience at this level they would learn rapidly how to make a future business of their own.

Might not be for those that have got their businesses to a decent level but for someone looking for a good start in the industry, as long as it is a half decent wage then it has to be a really good option.

Rob ;D

Because they post on an open forum so we can, why dont they advertise on a jobs site like everyone else!

I see your pay rates are similar to mine , basic anyway, i pay £300 for 40 hours, and make no stoppages for dinner or breaks.

How do you find the retention rates with that level of pay, I always feel under pressure to pay them more, to stop them leaving.

It's nice and simple at J.V. Price Ltd the more money the guys can make the business the more money they get paid.

I have my 4 top boys that all make about £1000 a week and have company motors and i cant do enough for them then we have the ones that you find asleep in the van at the services!!!!!!! they last about as long as it takes to drop the van back to one of the yards and walk home....

Thats bang on what i thought would be reasonable to pay staff, although i was going to make a £100 of it a bonus for turning up every day and completing all scheduled work  ;D ;D

I bet it does, and it will sort the men from the boys so to speak as to who is consistent, and will be consistent for a long time, do you make your staff carry on in the rain? or do you just not pay?
