I think it was poleman wrote a post on it when that big gutter thread was about.
If i remember, he said the savings were quite minimal compared to the time spent sourcing the bits.

Matt,
please do not take offense to this, but does it look like it is DIY ? as I have seen some right bad ones, and does not give the right impression IMO

I have a camera which I made using a camera designed for the back bumper of a car. It has a colour monitor and I just added some cable and bought a small 12v battery. I fixed the camera on to a plastic gooseneck and just attach it to a telescopic pole when I need to use it. I have recently modified it so that I can attach it to the top of the gutter vac but I still haven't tried it out yet. It does the job. One thing I have found is when the sunshine is bright, its hard to see the monitor.
ps I bought it on ebay

it uses the SL2 as the pole, uses the top bit that looks good and goes into a vac
looks as good as any system ive seen

Yes it was a pain getting the bits, but I have sorted it all, and have my first job next month, problem I have is, gutter cleaning is a side service and just been busy cleaning windows and getting the next van on the road I have saved myself 3 maybe £400 and I am happy with that and I have a lot lighter pole, than any of the main dealers ones available

Made a camera system out of a wireless security camera screwed to a very cheep brush hed with the bristles removed and a PVC (Personal Video Recorder) £50 from ebay. The PVC must have "video in" sockets to connect the wireless reciever to.
Doesn't look as good nor is the picture quality as good as the Omnivac system but for £80 it certainly does the job well enough to keep the customer happy.
As for the DIY gutter vac system.....

Hi Nanthanael, Sorry I dont have a link or even the name but it should be easy to find.
Try wireless reversing camera that should do. Just tried it myself and up comes the vr3 which is the one I bought at £61" buy it now" price. Remember it doesn't record just shows you what the camera sees.
