Can anyone enlighten me on the regulations for cleaning these bins weather small or large ones?
I have been asked to do a few for a sheltered acomodation unit alongside the exteria cleaning of the building which I do.
Is a preasure washer ok or do you need to use chemicals?
Is there a rule of thumb on pricing these bins?
Thanks for any replies in advance.

Hi Nick.
West Sussex.
I have a meeting with the manager on Thursday.
My quote will be put in after. From what I gather their are around 25 domestic wheely bins.
They have a contractors code of practice. H & S and all the legal requirements etc.
The residents are not sure if they should be done 1/4ly or monthly. What do you quote for each?
I have not got a clue on price or how long it should take.
Some guys around us just use a hose a bit of disinfectant and a brush??
Any advise would be appreciated.

do you have a bin cleaner?
I have a shelter housing round too and charge £2 bin
-
Whats a bin cleaner?
Is your price monthly? If so what would you charge for 1/4.
Going to look up bin cleaners now!!!
Thanks.

It's a van or trailer where you can carry the water to the bins, clean them in the trailer then take the dirty water away
I charge per bin

Found a web site for the wheely bin cleaner.
Not going to be cost efective for 25 bins.
Might just use a pressure washer instead.
Have you one of these bits of gear. if you are into that business I can see it can save time and earn you more.
I never would have thought there was such a market.

you have to get rid of the waste water , you can not just wash them out on the floor.
Why not sub contract it out to the local bin cleaning company
-
Might have to do that, however I do have a wast tank.
Do you do bins full time or as an add on to your business?
Thanks for the imput. It has been very interesting.

Hi Rob
It is an add on to my business about 100 bins a week
I am not a busy as some of the big boys but it is good for cash flow and it also keps my big customers happy too
