There is a tool but it`s not needed you can pinch the O ring clips with the thin edge of pliers,make sure you get rectus 21 german fittings if they don`t say it on them there chinese imports and only last days if your lucky.

hi andy
have a look at gardiners site
regards mike

i went to pertek.... they gave me a tiny ring with a tiny nut and thread... never leaked at all.... and if it did i would simply tighten it.... it s nothing like a jubilee clip , which would stick out and scratch you eventually.

been on gardiners website not on there
-
a small cheap pair of wire cutters would easily nip the O rings...

all the time ::)
the rectus ones do last longer but still go in the end
even if i am really REALLY careful it never seemed to make a difference
i have given up and am now using compressor fittings
cons are : heavy and clunky in operation
pros are : tough,cheap and leakfree :)
