i was just wondering how regular everybody is on there work, my work is mainly based on fortnighltly cleans, just wondering how often the majority of people on her did there work....
apologies if this has already been done...

6 weekly. Harder for the 6weeklies to go 3 monthly than a monthly going bi-monthly. 6weekly is ideal as windows are noticeably dirty, but not too dirty. It beats doing bi-monthlies. I always ask customers if they would like monthly or 6weekly and most favour 6 weekly which suits me fine unless it's large, large houses or commercial.
-
every morning without fail
i dont eat allbran either
-
4 or 8 weeks, not monthly or 2 monthly ;) :)
-

LOL
that reminds me
when i went to the doctor and told him i have a problem.....
i told him" i got to the toilet every morning at 6.30".......
he said "thats not a problem its perfectly normal."......
I said "but i dont get up until 7!"
;D
-
None of the above. Most of mine are meant to be six weekly.
-
8 weekly in the main...the odd 12 weekly for a couple of big jobs...but 8 weekly is the norm.
Dave.
-
most of my customers would hate me to come monthly and the ones that are monthly, a lot of them ask me to go fortnightly..... i must be a window keep cleaner and not a window cleaner..

same with me that, my 2 weeklys are always up too date and if the weather is bad the monthlys suffer.....
-
im 2/3 weekly, only got a few at 6 weekly, the 3weeklie are always late though
-
thankgod for that i thought i was the only fortnightly wc
-
i thought it was the norm 2 weekly.... i'd be sacked by a lot of custys if i missed them for 2 months
-
i'm gonna have to start prioratising my work aswell because i nearly got the sack by a couple of custys (monthlys) for being 2 months late, i usually do my fortnightlys first because if the weather turns they cant be done the following week where as monthlys can be done the week after..
-
60% - 2wks
40% - 4wks

biggest majority of mine is 4 weekly, but I let my customers decide. I have weekly cleans, but thats shops, and do some residentials 8 weekly and even 12 weekly.
Customers always ask me how often do I think they should be done, and I ask...
"That depends...",
"...Do you want them maintained clean, or just cleaned when they are dirty"
And they always say maintained, so I suggest trying 4 weekly and changing it if they want once they see the biuld up on the glass, but most just stick to 4 weekly.
I am suprised to here people saying they have alot of 2 weekly jobs. Is that shops or residential.
;D
-
2 weekly, 4 weekly and a couple of 8 weeklys oh and i have one weekly commercial whatever they want
-
i was doing this old fellors shops for a while and they were nearly all weekly and you could tell that these shops diddnt do very much business, some of the shops i used to go in they said (joking but telling the truth) here you are taking my weeks takings again....

residential for my two weekly stuff, when quoting you just say two weekly allright and 9 times out 10 they say yes
-
we give them the choice now because were run under with work....
-
must admit ive started to do that as well, but if your just starting 2 weekly is great it means less customers same money
-
yeah and cleaning fortnightlys is so much easier and quicker than cleaning monthlys.....
-
yeah and cleaning fortnightlys is so much easier and quicker than cleaning monthlys.....
what sort of price can you cherge on 2 weekly?....? surely it is less than 4 weekly?
-
i do charge more on monthlys but that rule dosnt run right through my work, its a relitively new rule so its more on newer work... i have to admit my prices are not the greatest and no where near compare to other peoples prices but they still pay the bills etc etc.... i still have £2 jobs (terrible)
-

nope mate same price its just what people expect round my way but must admit my higher priced work tends to be monthly although not always i have nice priced jobs want doing fortnightly and before you ask it is wfp jobs as well as trad jobs, i have one custy wants done weekly but its a right pain trying to do it so i do it fortnightly and when not to busy weekly and she is happy with that. but then she is a bit obbessed with clean windows

my main round is 5 weekly
works for me
some large jobs are quarterly,bi annual and annual
but 5 wks fits my round at the moment

-
I let my customers decide as well, I have 3 weekly 4 weekly 6weekly etc, about 60% of my work is one off or so infrequent that I dont put them on my round.
-
seriously though if when giving a quote you give your price and say fortnightly ok, you would be suprised how many say yes but if they hesitate follow up with i can do 4 weekly as well its up to you.i only do it now if in an area that i already have fortnightly work.
bahhh

bahhh
down here in wales they only go for monthly....this 2 weekly thing seems to be a northern thing, it sounds good though...as the clean must be a bit quicker
-
you seriously just have to tickle the window with the brush and there clean but you sometimes forget to do it a little different for monthly...
-
agree with that and if trad its a doddle with wfp even easier. sometimes i wonder why im cleaning them its just what there used to
-
how many times have you cleaned a house and when you have gone back collecting theres a big bird dropping down the window,if you are 8 weekly the customer has to look at that for 7 weeks so its not a questin of how dirty the windows get
agree there again because i am a nice guy ive often recleaned one window when collecting because of that as long as its down stairs and can be reached from the deck and of course they are a well paying custy. i had a 8 weekly custy watched me clean their neighbours every 4 weeks and eventually caved in becaue of bird droppings
-
Im mainly4 weekly and only have a few 8 weekly, been asked to do 6 weekly but said its 4 or 8, as it wouldnt fit into the round at 6 as id be returning to a road just to do 1 house, but theres no way i could to 2 weekly as there bill would be about £400 over the year
-
they only really need to be 2 weeks if on a main rd,but who am i to complain
i understand with this but who am i to tell the custys, i'd be halfing my income nearly...
-
We are nearly all 8wks for residential, got to admit it would bore me to tears to go to all of them 2weekly....would like the money though!! ;D
-
domestic :- 4 weekly , ( small % 8 weekly )
commercial :- mainly monthly , some 2 and 3 monthly .
-

I think its a city thing having 2 weekly, my work thats nearer the city centre is 2 weekly, but in cheshire its 3-4 weekly, and no one wants it any sooner than that, in fact when im on time they think its sooner because usually im upto a week behind, but the plan is to be on time always now!! Work in rain, work late, work saturday to keep up!!
-
you missed 6 weeks, thats me
-
i dont know how some people can work some of there work 2 weekly and some 3 weekly that would throw me really badly... its always multiples of 2
-
same here 3 weekly would just mess up my whole round
-
i dont know how some people can work some of there work 2 weekly and some 3 weekly that would throw me really badly... its always multiples of 2
I have 2 weekly and 3 weekly, but i have 3/4 days of 3 weel;y and 1/2 days of fortnightly, so i can always fit both in...if that makes sense, i bought the 3 weekly so didnt wanna lose work by going 4 weekly, and didnt wanna lose money making my fortnightly 3-4 weeks, make sense??? But its awkward alright, and hard to sell 3 weekly, have to sell as 4, so lose money :(
-
i bought some 3 weekly work and changed it to 2 weekly, that was years ago... a few went monthly but not that many and now its the norm for them to have it done fortnightly.... dont do odd numbered weeks..
-
3 weekly if i can but usually end up being about 4 weekly.
-
I work on every month or bi monthly. Though I have some pubs which get done every week.
-
Four weekly, but I also offer "occasional cleans", for those that are in the rural area's, and don't get as dirty - charge a bit more for those, of course.
-
2 weekly what you mean some on here do houses every 2 weeks,i can`t see that lasting much past the new year.
-
i hoonestly dont think i will loose many fortnightly (if any) and even if i do i am picking up so much it would prob be a good thing.....
-
I don`t know why anyone has 2 weekly.
-
i bet the high majority of wc'ers clean fortnightly.....
-
my monthlys are filthy by the time i get back to them, im a "window keep cleaner"
-
2 weekly is the norm.... my customers want there windows clean nearly all the time not clean for 2 weeks and dirty for the other 2
-
im now 2 months behind on some of my monthlys, like i said in an earlier post my monthlys suffer in the bad weather... never fortnightlys
-
6wks, 8wks, 3 monthly. Will do whatever the custy wants but this seems to be the norm.
Custys happy with that and so am I.
-
mine are 4 weekly. been running a bit behind and because of it no one has said not this time. so when i get enough work will probably try and move to 5 weekly to make things easier. all my work is rural so the windows seem to stay cleaner longer.
-
There's rarely much dirt at all on monthlys.
I don't blame a lot of people asking for 8-weekly these days.
I'd rather they didn't though!
Fortnightly?
They'd look the same as when they were done! ;D
