Put a hose barb type fitting on the pump - run a length of reinforced plastic hose to the hosereel.  Plastic Hozelock is a waste of time as they always wear out and leak, and pop off under pressure.  Get a metal hosereel and fit a 90degree brass connector to the inlet side.  A brass hozelock type fitting on the end of the high pressure hose will fit the elbow.  Because the connection between the hose and the elbow isn't subject to turning (that happens inside the connector) it won't wear out.
