Companies have been working together on vans and cars or ages. Scudo, Expert, Despatch are all the same van...... Berlingo and Partner are the same van. Nissan and LDV cub are the same van........ Just different badges and variations on the interior.........

i want to thank you, that has been baffling my head for absolute ages... cheers pal

thats one of the reasons i went for a transit as opposed to one of the above... as i had...( well still have as well)... an expert....
they hard to work on... french / german parts..... same as vivaros/traffic/ nissan primaster... they have a mixture of different exported parts etc...
every mechanic i spoke to advised me to go for a transit.
proven reliable for donkeys years, easy to work on, parts cheap and readily available...
so i had to go with that..
though i love the style of vivaros... fast , six speed, drive like a car etc.....
i like them... but i like my new van now too. ;)
-
i looooooove my vivaro ;D
-
i was gonna go with vivaro but i may have a look at transit now, i just always thought they looked like a box on wheels
-
so fast and economical
-
so do i ... i have two or three mechanic mates... they simply advised me the van easiest and cheapest to work on, and the most reliable.... apart from a couple of others out of my range for the year i wanted .. e.g... V.W TRANSPORTER and MERCS.
but im with you on the vivaros.. they look and drive great.
am kind me arnt i? :D
-
i do like the sylishness of the vivaro and the traffic and nissan thingymigig.
-
me too,, but the newer transits are really good , with lots of pulling power and , they too are a better drive... they are also slightly bigger .. and wider than vivaros.
-
i was told any of the vivaro type vans had major gear box troubles which could cost over a grand to put right....pre 05 reg.
-
just noticed ? been like that for years
-
just noticed what ???

this is soooooo tue gazza, they are the best selling van in britain....and parts are ALOT cheaper...they are also generally more reliable......they also have MUCH MUCH bigger range to suit any type of buisness.....they dwarf all the european ranges
-
oh and the transit is by far the best van for sign writting....lts of flat panels...ill probs go for one next
-
i really like it, its so wide and roomy, with rails in the back for tie supports, and its got plenty of power and a tenner last forever... ;)

No, buying.

More than likely. My '03 Trafic needed a gearbox at 39,000 miles (about 6 weeks inside the warranty) and I've heard other stories like that too.
