Has anyone ever done any work for these?
If so, how did you get on with getting paid on time.
I have a monthly job at £175 for these. I specified (by email) payment within 4 weeks of clean. They agreed.
I am now 9 weeks behind and have got the hump. I emailed them yesterday saying i will take further action if not received by next friday.
I should explain that i started this job on july 7 with ess. On the 2nd clean i got a phone call from block management saying they have took over the contract and could i invoice them now.
Ess started fobbing me off. Then yesterday block management emailed me saying i should invoice them for the ess job, which they will pay.
Was told yesterday by block management that the cheque has been written out and is waiting for the accounts director to sign. But he is out until monday.
I also asked the lady from blocks if she can email me to tell me the cheque has been posted. She has said yes.
I am due to clean this property on monday. But it will be the 3rd time cleaning without pay. And i'm not prepared to do that.
I will be telling them when they phone me monday that i can't continue until the payment issue has been resolved.
Oh and the kicker is both companies are owned by the same bloke according to one of blocks member of staff.
There is a scam going on there, for sure.
This way of doing business is not my style and i'm prepared to lose the job because of it. I will also chase the cash through legal means.
So, does anyone else work for these and does anyone know the owners name?
I would prefer to start at the top. >:(

cheers matt. I've already emailed the managing director.
I will check the other link.
I wouldn’t tell them that you have stopped cleaning, don’t do them any favours at all concentrate on getting your money, by phone then in person.
I'm always tempted, but it's business. Bad business i know, but i want to be professional in my approach to this.
When i'm being stiffed i do prefer to be told told to my face why.
But, i suspect this is nothing more than a policy of paying the contractors as late as they can. Better our account than yours.
Like i say, i don't do business in this way. Good for all or non at all, is my style.
While i am phoning every few days, email is my preferred way of correspondance because i want to bring an end to this. And i want the written word rather than the verbal for any debt collection or court claim i might soon make.
