Title: Back to leaflets
Post by: rs_cleancare on February 15, 2005, 06:05:28 pm
Hi all, i have just started my leaflet campian and was wondering if any other people leaflet in your area and does this affect your responce.
I have two other leaflets on a regular basis both of which offer carpet cleaning at silly prices for example £12 for a living room. I could no way in the world charge that sort of price. I have done a few jobs for people who have used such companys and they have said I've taken twice as long and done a far better job.

5000 leaflets went out 8 days ago and not one phone call? When i've put out a couple of thousand i usally get a 1% responce. I havn't changed my leaflet and will be having 5000 going out in the same area in 2 weeks.

Any feed back would be appreciated.
Rob.

Did you check the leaflet went out?

my leaflet constantly competes with other leaflets but its just one of those things. if the other companies are from out of town make sure your leaflet has your address on so they know you are the local alternative.

just keep plodding on ;)

Mike, the company who put them out say they have all gone out. I also put my address on my leaflets. one of the two leaflets is from miles away and the other is from the next local town.
I guess i will just keep my fingers crossed and keep putting them out in large numbers and hopefully it will start paying off.
Cheers Rob.

Rob the best thing to do is put out a couple of thousand yourself then gage what response u get ,also choose where u put the leaflets ,you want mainly house that havent got time to do it themselfs or pepole that cant do it you should get at least 3  jobs per thousand.
this will give you a idea of what respone you get from your area.

ps read everything mike halliday has written in the past about leaflets remember just keep putting them out IF THEY DONT KNOW YOUR THERE THEY CANT CALL YOU  NEIL ;)

Rob he's not going to tell you they got chucked in the bin is he :o go round the the area and knock on some doors and ask if they got one! ( although it might be a bit late now)

if they work when you put them out then the only other varible is who's delivering them, how many leaflets did he put out with yours?

If they are going out in a mag or free paper why not put an ad in the mag.. and state 'FREE carpet cleaning, call me when you get your carpet cleaning Leaflet and I'll put you in a FREE prize draw for a FREE carpet clean! no gimmicks, no vacuum cleaner sales just FREE carpet cleaning'

This will make sure that your disributor will deliver them!

Rob,

About 15 years ago I worked out the best way to make leaflets work was to get your own distributors.

This way you can easily check delivery,it's solus and you build a relationship.

I found this 3 times as effective as putting in the paper.

I currently have 4 deliverers although one does'nt work the winter.

5000 and no response , I smell a big rat  :(

Cheers,

Doug

Others will disagree, but it could be the weather.

Have you changed your leaflet.

The 1% response was that self delivered or using same delivery method.

Was that for 5000

if so you now have Half a percent response rate.
