I'll third it.
I wouldn't touch a brodex pole again at any reasonable height, not after trying the SL2 from Gardiners.

4th it!!!

SL-X and SL2, best poles on the market, combined with one of the best support, I don't get my stuff anywhere else nowadays.

paddy

brodex are quality equipment - their aftersales isnt the best at times but they are easy to haggle with.  I have had brodex poles for years now and still going strong (although not used as much now).  the cobra poles are superb.

gardiners have a very strong reputation for aftersales and both slx/sl-2

What does that mean? You mean their brushes were out of stock? Happens to all shops now and then, it's worth the wait though.

Have bought loads of Brodex in the past, expensive, heavy but long lasting, i have a pole which is now 5 years old and still ok, doesn't get used much now though as its a pig.
Recently went over to Gardiners poles and have to say, I wish i'd done it sooner, still expensive but the lightness and stiffness of the poles is nothing short of amazing and the aftersales, advice and non pushy sales (yes paddy, i know if I don't buy it today i'll miss out.) is a breath of fresh air.

So Gardiners it is for me.
