I have had the most stressful night. I go in to clean the clients office as per norm and they are having a boardroom meeting for the second night running and throughout the day they have left all the plates bowls mugs etc for me. They know this is not in my spec but it is left out just in case old mug me will do it I couldn’t just leave it. As I was cleaning I was ******* fuming I just hope know one sore me because it doesn’t look very professional.

My question is would you have done it and please don’t say it depends how much you want the contract I hate people taking  liberties

I think my blood pressure is nearly normal now. Typing this has de stressed me a little. And the four bottles of wine have helped somewhat

Had that on one of mine about 5 years ago. Did it for a few days then had a meeting with the FM. Since then the dishwashing fairy visits every night and gets paid.... The added value and little extras help build customer relationships, but if it is not going to be paid dont' be a hero. For us it is what we do to earn a living, if we wanted a hobby we would build "Hornby Railways.

I don't let my cleaners do extras, either the client pays or it's not done as something else would suffer and complaints would come in.

If you talk with them about this I am sure the person who deals with the cleaning would understand and maybe not even know what is being left, people don't think about who is going to clear up just expect it so if you don't say something it may not even be noticed as a 'freebie'

I agree with Sarah.

The CEO may not even be aware they have been left, they might of asked one of the staff to do it and they just left it for 'the cleaner'.

Also, if you really did consume 4 bottles of wine just to 'de stress' over some washing up, then maybe the issue is really there.

You might not have to worry as firms that spend that long in board rooms tend to shut,  If a bit of washing up leads you to gulp wine like you need to stand back, take a deep breath and think about things
