Title: tile problam

Could anyone out there sugest what to use on a non slip floor tile that has the same surface as sandpaper?
I have scrubbed with a deck brush and chemicals, also a small machine and strong chemicals. Have faded the grime but it still looks terrible.
they are in two lots of changing rooms leading to a swimming pool and are giving me a bit of a headache!
has anyone dealt with theese tiles before?
Any sugestions!

Sounds like it might be Altro Floor. You need a floor scrubber I.W Numatic Twintec or similar that scrubs and extracts. You need to be able to extract all the dirt which you will not achieve with a deck scrubber and mop.

If its a wet area that leads to a drain and not a pool area try either ultra pac renovate of non caustic TFR and jetwash it

Is it grime with lime scale if so try small area with limesale remover

Hi if its Altra floor you need a product called Altra Gard should scrub of with a brush and hose off with water.... It sounds as though its got limescale which is stopping you getting through to the dirt..then you need a product called Q T C  limescale remover..brilliant products from Gard Chemicals..Caution if area round pool make sure it doesnt go into Pool.. Limescale removers are acidic I would not be wanting to use them near a swimmong pool

Being carried out correctly IS NOT introducing ACID to an ALKALINE environment. Not only is that putting staff at risk it is also potentially contaminating the pool

A franchise I know of with bright yellow vans  did a fire restoration in a hotel once, it included the swimming pool area, they managed to spill some water in to the pool.

The reaction is called chlorine gas.

Luckily it was in the day so there was no permanent damage, but they had to drain the pool etc though to make sure all was OK.

Pools tend to contain large amounts of chlorine, if these are mixed with acids the resulting reaction will be similar to that of mustard gas as used in the first world war.

Thankyou so much for all the advice , i shall atempt to jet it off as the toilets are too small for a rotary scrubber.
all changing rooms have drains in the floor so they will be fine.
Just the sheer amount of rooms and walk ways done with this flooring is a bit of a daunting task, but i will battle through.
will not attempt the pool area with chemicals other than on sight ones, as i don,t fancy gassing the guests.
Will let you know how things work out.
