i live in a soft water area,is it right that my sediment filter should go so brown after just a day or so of replacing it?

about 600-700lt

It depends upon where you live. My sediment always turns brown within hours of use, but it doesn't seem to affect it's performance.

it's got nothing to do with the softness or hardness of the water. It catches fine particles of sand, dust etc.
If you leave a white cup of tap water to stand on a window ledge for a day or two you might notice a sediment form on the bottom.

cheers guys,no it dosent seem to effect the performance either,i just thought it might not be right, and may have an effect long term on the ro and resin?

If the filter is going brown, it is doing it's job! Stopping all of those contaminates going any further.
