Congratulations to the BWCA on its new training facility in Wiltshire.

This new centre is the only one of its kind in the UK, and represents a significant step forward for the window cleaning industry.
Among the features of the facility include a lecture area, a bank of different sized low-level windows (with black rear tinting to highlight mistakes), a ceiling mounted eye-bolt, high level windows (with guttering) for pole use and many other features besides.
Pictures of the new facility are on the PWC website (click on the globe under my name), and a more detailed review will appear in an early issue.

Glad to see the BWCA has a home at last, as you know we where the first to go on the revised courses, I will be sending my work force and my self to finish of the rest of the courses.

Just came yesterday with my brother from doing the water fed pole course excellent just wish more time allocated to using the poles to develop correct technique particulary my bro and others on the day who had not used before. Otherwise well worth it.#Keith :)

Was there on the 11th with wife for the wfp course. It was a very good days course, a must for all window cleaners.

The BWCA has launched a new website detailing its Window Cleaning training courses dates and an on-line booking form. Can anyone who has been on this course (particularly the SK1) give me an unbiased and truthfull account of how useful it is? I imagine it would be of great benefit to anyone starting out but would someone like myself benefit having been a wc for nearly 3 yrs. Wiltshire is a long,long way away but id consider going if I really thought I could increase my speed , hence earnings potential with knowledge gained. Cheers Nick

I understand your trepidation so I hope that the reference letters I have attached will help you make your decision.

Hi Craig,
Been reading through the website, and to me this looks like a very worthwhile course. I do have a couple of question though, that I couldn't quite work out.
I am interested in doing all parts of the course, as I am just starting out, but how many would I actually need to do to acheive NVQ status? And, I am right in saying that an NVQ is acheivable at the end of it? :-\

The courses we offer at the BWCA are stand-alone courses, the certificates awarded can be used as supplementary evidence as part of your portfolio if you choose to go for the NVQ at a later date. The NVQ is considerably more expensive and requires on site assessment at your place of work.
The idea of the stand-alone courses is that they provide for any gaps in your knowledge so that you can learn the aspects of window cleaning that are relevant to you and that will help your business grow.

Thought id follow this up as I have now been on the SK1 one day course this week. I can thoughly reccomend it, Craig is extremely knowledgable (as anyone who has met him will vouch) and passes this knowledge on in a very effective manner.
A must for anyone fairly new to the business who is serious about making a career of it, but even the "older hands" felt they benefited.
