Clean It Up

I've had an enquiry from a client who has a Persian rug approx 20 x 14 feet. It has in the past had some infestation of mice and has been also been stored in a dampish area.
So there is a likely problem from urine and possibly a musty/mouldy problem.
My questions are: any CCers nearby to Wilmslow/Alderley Edge who can offer full immersion cleaning for a rug of this size and if so what would your likely cost be.
I don't think they want to go down this road but it would help me in my dealings with them if I had answers to these two questions. Obviously if they do then I can pass the details on.
Any other thoughts/observations welcome.

There's also Franklin's of Sheffield. Very few have the full facilities for this

Hi Carlton
Thanks for that. I've spoken to Franklins. Most helpful but it has raised further questions in my mind.
Still interested in any other replies from any other guys.
BTW Franklins are more than happy to give people a tour round their set up. Think I might invite myself along.

Hi Roger
Just done 3 large rugs - 12' x 9' and did not immersion or even hose saturate.
Would not been able to move them - particulary one thick Chineese rug.
Would have to be someone with the right facilities to be able to manage the 20x14.

Did Franklins say what they would charge?

Hi Davep
Not exactly. But they put me in touch with another cleaner who is near to me and who sends rugs to them on a regular basis. HE indicated a ball park price of c£400 assuming no other problems came to light.
They also mentioned they have some sort of set-up in Liverpool which is I believe where you are.
Also of thinking of inviting myself upto Franklins for a look-around.
Off to see the rug in question in the next few days-this will help clarify which way I am going to advise customer.

To be honest it's no great secret at Franklins, deep beating machine is brilliant but after that most don't go to the 'davar' machine they go to get cleaned with easistep AKA MS and scrubbed HWE and hung up to dry, although on a tour they may get 'davared'
The Davar machine is like a glorified pressure washer and hydraulic roller system.
