ive got a newer shape 650 tank in the van and its got a lid with a red insert, can this be removed and something like a filler be put onto it?
-
yes,
take the lid off and hit it with a hammer, you might need to break a couple of the red bits off, and then it should come out alot easier, make sure you drill some holes it in so the pressure doesn't build up
-
what fits into it to fill up? can a hoselock be put on it?
-
i just put my transfer hose inside of it, so i dont have to take the lid off each time
sorry i missed this post

I have a hoselock type connector on mine to fill tank also has air valve or it would suck the tank inwards when using it causing a load of problems
-
them red things are not air tight anyways so wouldn't cause the problem of a vacuum i dont think
