Title: can anyone tell me about the new lids on water tanks

ive got a newer shape 650 tank in the van and its got a lid with a red insert, can this be removed and something like a filler be put onto it?

yes,

take the lid off and hit it with a hammer, you might need to break a couple of the red bits off, and then it should come out alot easier, make sure you drill some holes it in so the pressure doesn't build up

what fits into it to fill up? can a hoselock be put on it?

i just put my transfer hose inside of it, so i dont have to take the lid off each time

what fits into it to fill up? can a hoselock be put on it?
I have a hoselock type connector on mine to fill tank also has air valve or it would suck the tank inwards when using it causing a load of problems

them red things are not air tight anyways so wouldn't cause the problem of a vacuum i dont think
