-
That`s not safe lol ;D ;D ;D ;D in all honesty it looks really good, well done.
-
lay flats just look so much safer than uprights. how much the cage cost you LWC?
-
Matt, you have worked hard on that mate and it shows well done dude ;)
-
I liked it, impressive.
Where's the battery going?
How bigs the tank?
How does a two man team work- fronts or backs- tops or bottoms- i do one house you do another?(i mean anyone to answer this)
At some point make one reel electric, to see how you go with it.
-
its a 650, im gonna give it a go off the main battery, i have run the wire tidy under the van so ill have to see how i get on, i had a split relay on my last one, so ill just see how this goes
2 man, one does back one does fronts
-
1 does back 1 does fronts that sounds good to me,1 off to the left and 1 off to the right i can be seen on strictly come dancing lol. ;D ;D

keep a jump pack in the van, you'll probably need it at some point. how much was the cage LWC? ;)
-
someone made it for me, £150, the aluminum plate was expensive, its was like 35 just for that, and he told me how much steel has gone up, i think a very good price all in all
this setup has cost me less than a £1000 so cant complain at that, ill work it out soon, cause ive remembered ome of the things ive brought over from the other van and not accounted for
but my last setup cost me like £1500 for a rubbish one man trolley setup with a few barrels...then i re did the lot and spent a fortune...how much you learn when youve been doing it long enough hey!
-
LWC,
That looks well tidy..Congratulations fella!
Can I ask where you got all your bits and bobs from?
This is EXACTLY what I'm after - a low level tank (baffled) with all the accessories.
If you prefer to send me an email, let me know. Your system is just what I imagined mine to be like.
Can I ask how much it cost in total?
-
well just answered that in the last post buddy
all my bits are from my local supplier, where do you live?

Yep, just noticed that.
We must have been posting at the same time!
I'm in Manchester
I really want to pick your brains on that set-up because its one of the best I've seen...and looks really tidy.
Which pump are you using?
Where did you get the hose & reel?
Is it 'wired up' to the main van battery?
Where did you get you DI vessels?
Hows it working out for you?
I've got a million questions for you...you can tell me to bugger off if you want ;D
-
you think you could come down to oswestry one day?
the guy sells the stuff in town so you might be able to order it all and take a look at my van?

Oswestry isnt that far from me. I'd love to come and have a look at your set-up.

Send me an email and include your telephone number and I'll give you a ring and we can arrange to meet up.

After much discussion on here and against my better judgement...
A Vauxhall Vivaro.
Virtually everyone on here reckons they are good (but I dont like them!)..but its hard to argue with so much positive feedback.
Got you telephone number as well...
When is a good time to give you a ring to arrange a meet?
-
Looks smart & tidy. Like the pole hook idea :)
-
busy next week mate, but give me a call anyway and possibly arrange a date for week after ;)
-
Bless let us no how your date goes
-
LWC the cages would be standard (650 for a lot of us). except i don't have di's and wouldn't want pole holder(scudo), maybe cage man could mail order them. Just a thought.
-
Smart, but where is the tank outlet? Your di's seem a long way from the pump and reel do you think you'll get any air locks?
-
Very smart, Very well fixed, Very well laid out, Very tidy too!.......at the moment
-
There we go there is life after Ionics and at a tenth of the price. Top kit LWC well done looks like the dog bo**ocks.
IONICS watch out theres a real businessman about.

there is a gap between the cage and the aluminum checker plate so all the hoses and wires are hidden and the outlet is behind there.
and i will only be filling up with di, i will be making a filling hose to it so when i need to fill just open the side door and plug into that side ;)
cheers for all the comments :)
-
Very neat :)
Looks well thought out.
-
I like the fact you have a metal cage and ratchet straps.

safety first alex
these new tanks have an indent in them which looked ideal for a ratchet strap so i thought why not!
-
LWC I really like your set-up there...very professional looking...just a question why did you choose to have the tank lenght ways v sideways?...not a critism just a question....cheers Dave :)
-
i do like it LWC, it was something i thought about getting done for my vans. the only thing i would of added that you haven't got is a big metal tray with raised edges on top of the tank. we carry a lot of extra little bits (chemicals, tools, trad gear, etc etc) and i find its them bits that bang around in the back of the van and cause a mess. so a big tray on top of that tank with smaller compartments would work a treat for us ;)
-
yeh that sounds like a good idea, i have the base now so i can build off it ;D
