Title: Yellow staining on polymide

Customer has white 100% polymide carpet. a 3 legged amp speaker with rubber feet sat on it and left a slightly sticky dull mark cleaned it with solvent and extracted and has left 3 yellow areas, returned extracted and tried Hy/per  still yellow any suggestions for product or practice...thanks Simon

Do I understand right that you think it's the product you've used which has caused this?  What solvent was it?

Could be a permanent loss of colour :(

How big are the marks?  It may be possible to retuft, if the economics work out favourably.

If the yellow areas correspond to the shape of the speakers then it is probably a pre-existing condition highlighted by the cleaning. Can be casued by various reasons including plastic off gassing from the speaker casings.

anti oxidents in the rubber wiil have reacted with the polymide pile causing permanent staining
