Post by: Richard Carlisle on August 19, 2008, 07:57:28 am
Hi all. how much do you think a BX with a broken pump is worth?

also how much would one of extracta's pumps be?

and finnaly how big of a job is it to replace the pump?

any help would be spot on.
                         thanks, Richard

£100. Pump is a Shurflo available from lots of places. Easy to fit. Got to wonder how much life the vac motors got in it though.

I have a kleenrite 300psi, twin vac and inline heater that needs a new pump head - motor good and induction motor so last forever.

For £150ish if you are going to that hassle of fixing pump you may as well do it on a decent machine.

Its in the for sale section.

A broken Extracta BX is worth very little, maybe if it includes hoses and wand and upholstery tool it might be worth a few hundred quid.
