Title: whats the most rigid pole for traditional
Post by: tradman on August 16, 2008, 11:59:03 am
hi guys,

whats the most rigid pole for traditional methods? the reason i ask is that whilst i do have a wfp i don't use it enough to carry spares, but i do use my unger pole a lot so if i have a really good rigid pole i could use that as a back up in case owt breaks on my wfp side (which did this week, i dropped my pump n bust outlet spigot...ooops!!)

I would say a Harris decorator pole from B&Q, very cheap, and up to the job.

I have used my SL-X for this purpose with a plastic cone screwed on to the top to take my trad tools. It makes for a very pricey trad pole though!

oh thats a coincidence, was looking at your pole earlier for my wfp. the fact it doubles up as a trad pole is great. do you sell an unger / ettore compatible cone?

We sell this cone which I find is a good push-fit for most trad tools:

I'm sure that an unger cone could be adapted to fit this though. Just a point worth noting is that the SL-X is now out of stock (as of yesterday!). We will update our website with progress on when the next batch is coming in.
