Title: white marks

we clean a chip shop and i have noticed marks on one of the windows  which are white and look like runs or something. These are no where near the friers or anything but on the main windows where seating is.


any ideas what it is. it wont come off at all  when cleaning trad.

Had similar thing a few weeks ago owner said it was oven cleaner spilt on the windows when cleaning fat off of ceiling based air vents. The White runs would not come off even using wire wool.
Ask the owner if he knows what caused it.

guy is just new owner. looks like something scorched the glass
