had a phone call from a company called LORECO . they apparently, once you have paid £99.00,send you tenders from the local authorities. i have looked on their website. looks all above board! was wondering if anyone has joined and what sort of leads/tenders did they get from them . their website is www.loreco.org
any information greatly accepted . thanks dale

I haven't joined them but I did get the call. It's for low value contracts only. Apparently according to their sales pitch, they have started up because of a new bit of euro legislation has just come out saying that where the tenders are under a certain value the authority should aim to award the tender to local small businesses. The one thing that put me off was when the lady called she said that they had contracts waiting to be filled. The way she worded it made it sound like she meant window cleaning but when I questioned this and said I would join there and then only if she guaranteed there were specific window cleaning tenders in my area at this moment in time (which is what she implied when I answered the phone) she admitted that they didn't actually have any at the moment. This put me off because she promised something that she couldn't deliver. However I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had any results with this service. If it works then I might reconsider.

you can find out the tenders for local government yourself, they have websites set up where they put them in advance, one in my area is called "the chest"
h ttps://www.thechest.nwce.gov.uk/cms/CMS.nsf/vLiveDocs/230DD29B6DC1C2DE8025735B004A735A?OpenDocument
You just got to sign up etc....
Massive contracts over a certain threshold, ie 500000euros i think are on this site...

have just looked on my local council website . section there for tenders ect . so i cant see how loreco can get you tenders if there arnt any on the local council website . ??? think i will save my money and keep checking my local council website

Seems they are picking on Window Cleaners! as I had a call, I told them if I was looking for council then I will contact them direct! As it happens council work is under priced anyway as they have to go with the lowest bid! And I don’t really won’t to be a busy fool!
