Title: getting rid of streaks

what is the best method of ensuring there are no streaks left on windows, after cleaning ???

Hi
Are you are using a window squeegee? It's unusual for a squeegee to leave streaks unless you are cleaning particularly awkward windows or the rubber has been damaged. In any case a chamois leather is probably the best bet particularly for cleaning around the edges of older window frames.

Change your rubber on a regular basis.

and make sure your channel is not bent, and the grip is not pushing the rubber unevenly.

I always change by rubber regular...
