I have had mine for just over a year and its got cuts out of the outer surface and now its holed but it does do alot of work so how long does your last?
-
I have had my 100meters 'minibore' from cleantech for 18 months now and I have 2 repairs so far but I do expect more as the hose is used.
Cheers
Dave.

Quick tip fellas to extend usage of hose, pull all 100 meters off reel and attatch from other end, we very rarely use all 100 meters so only the first 30-50 meters gets worn, turn it around and double its life!

just bought 100 metres of microbore yellow and metal reel.... i find it very heavy to hump and drag around compared to my 60 metre clear reinforced minibore.
also i have far too much at 100 metres,
the clear minibore has lasted over a year and still going strong... i wish i had bought that again....you can whip it over obstacles it may catch on, whereas the yellow stuff is heavy and lays flat with little whip.
but i went for the reel and microbore deal...also the reel with its metal fitting, and brass connections are no better than any other reel i have bought....
the brass fitting leak like the rest, and i am forever tightening nuts and bolts so it doesnt fall apart, also lost some nuts.... it may last longer only time will tell.... but at the moment the whole thing is hassle, and a pain... for a lot of money!
sorry but its off my chest now, ;D

so who stocks the best quality microbore as some of our hoses are showing signs of ballooning as I call it.

How long have you had your microbore? Ballooning is caused by de-lamination of the two layers.

Screw a reel to the floor then, heavy i don`t think so.I`ve just gone back to microbore cos i was amazed how much lighter it was than minibore when i tried a mates i`d forgotton how light it was compared,i have everything setup right now so i`m having no trouble with microbore.

alex all the hoses were changed in December, they get quite a lot of use and we use about 90mtrs on each reel, with digi varistream running at 3, cutoff pressure is quite high to allow for a high flow (hence digi vari @ 3)

C-Thru, thats a great little trick, cheers. My 100mtr Microbore hose lasted about 14months before ballooning and developing two holes. Put a couple of those plastic hose repairers on it but they just got caught everytime i went round a corner. I ended up cutting away 30 meters or so and im left with 70 metres.

I like the flow from minibore but it`s to heavy for me,i just turn the water up on micobore and it does the job.It makes minibore feel like garden hose.

am i mixing the two up...?... the heavy yellow stuff is heavy , to be honest , even lifting it out of the van is a lot heavier than my clear thinner stuff.... with a metal reel lol.

I have minibore hose from cleantech i have had it since they first stocked it so about 18 months i suppose.
Still good as new apart from a few scuffs here and there
