Hi All,
I've made a couple of small scratches on a customer's window with the head of my brush.
Is it possible to have these scratches removed or would it be more cost effective to just replace the whole pane?? I reckon the pane would cost around £65 to be replaced, but have no idea how much it would be (if possible) to have the scratches taken out by someone.
If there is a product on the market where i can do the job myself then i would love to know about it.
Kind regards,
Lance

Hi Lance,
you could try "Jewllers rouge" or nowhere near as good T cut compound, it will only dull the edges but may help. Idealy you should use a circular powered polishing pad as they do in auto shops with a paste.
There are pro companies that will do it but the one I saw on site 2 weeks ago trying to get scratches out of a new £80,000 installation was charging £600 per day, they are having to replace every glass panel on the site as a moron with a blunt Stanley scraper got there first ::) ::) ::)

Thanks for that mate.
So do you reckon i'd be better off just having the pane replaced for her??

You could give this a try. I removed light scratches from the windscreen and they look like new. It will depend on how deep the scratches are on the window. Maybe worth a try for a couple of £.
