Just bought a shurflo backpack off the williamsons pumps website and was wondering if any of you backpack users had any tips on how best to use it. Giving it a 24 hour charge to start with.
The last couple of weeks i have been using the pole on alot more of my work and it seems to be coming up alright. So i have bought the backpack to use alongside the trolley that i already have.

i wear mine, works great. cant reallly give you any tips mind
setting 1 is ample on regular cleans, i rarely use 2
make sure you look after battery
mind your back

1 tip, get a spare battery , as you will get no warning it is running low, it will just stop, embarresing if you are half way round a house , unless of course you have a back up system ie van mount ect.

My advise would be to get a decent battery charger like this one - www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7402168/Trail/searchtext>CAR+BATTERY.htm
I went through 4 batteries in 6 months using the charger that came with the backpack, since I bought this charger at Christmas I am still using the same battery.
-
wow david that is expensive, halfords sells another one that jeff brown gave us
its half the price of that one, jeff are you here, whats that link to the charger you where telling us about,
-
david, just noticed you have gone through 4 batteries in 6 months, i still have the same battery and i have had mine 9 months, mind you i have notice on setting 4 is less powerfull more like 2 now, so looks like a new battery for me now, while am here, anyone know where to buy the cheapest 12v 7amp backpack battery
-
No Joe, the one I bought was around £30 I see its gone up now, but with this charger you can plug your battery in and then go away on 2 weeks holiday and not worry about it, on your return the battery will be fully charged and ready to go.

I've had my BP for 18 months now, I still use the same battery today that was in it when I bought it, fully charge it at the end of every day.

Joe, I found one at screwfix for about £12 I think.

The charger that comes with the backpack doesnt want to sit in the plug socket very tightly, so shall i get a new charger. Thanks for all the backpack tips :)
