In the grand scheme of things 6-700 quid is nothing, you`ll pay more than that for a pole and it won`t last as long.If you get the same van again just take it out and put in the new 1 no bolts to drill etc,i`d say it`s money well spent.

how are theyfitted bud?

I swapped a 400 for a 650 no problems.(for sizes see cleantech site).
I took the opportunity to put another inline filter in.(I mean besides the strainer just before the pump).
The custom made one sounds good though if no fitting required.

The bottom one
-
Not sure if its for 1 tank or the both of them.
-
Yes a 650 lay flat tank will fit between the arches with about 1-2 inches either side, but if you fit up to the bulkhead then it comes lvel with the front edge of the arches anyway.
