ALLS FAIR IN BUSINESS. Some people think they can just start up in business and nobody should tread on their toes or go into their so called area.
-
why go round under cutting people working for less?? If we all did that then wed be earning minmum wage and might as well stack shelves
-
How do you know you were deliberately undercut? Maybe the guy just doesn't charge as much as you, maybe you are too expensive.
-
I understand your frustration but to call him a cowboy without even knowing him!
Like someone has said, he may of been out canvassing and one of your customers asked him how much and he gave them a price which was cheaper and they decided to go with him and drop you!
I am always friendly to my customers and make time to chat to them, that way they see you as more than 'just' the window cleaner and are less likely to drop you!
Likewise when I am canvassing if they have a window cleaner I wont give them a quote but leave them with a flyer incase he stops coming or they happen to drop him for any reason, this may cost me houses but I think window cleaners should help each other and not try to pinch work off each other

Take it that this is the first time it has happened to you.........get used to it as it won't be the last........it's called competition. What colour horse was the cowboy on? ;D

i dont mind healthy competition but in my area this bloke is a well known fully paid up member of the beer brigade by other window cleaners, but hey when he falls off his thirty year old ladder through a custys greenhouse with no insurance will they learn, bring in licensing in england i say.

Who will learn???? the general public????? hmmmmm don't hold your breath. So why don't all you other "non cowboy" window cleaners report him to HMRC then if you all feel that strongly :)
