Title: High street shops
Post by: stoneleech on August 06, 2008, 05:31:51 pm
How frequent should the cleans be carried out.

Once, twice, three times a week?

What is the going rate for this type of work?

eg an estate agent one or two windows inside & out 6'x6'

Bigger chain stores may want them done 5 or 6 days a week, the more often you do them, the more discount you can offer.

Just about daily?

weekly and 2 weekly.

I really do not want daily unless I buy loads of them at the same time and these rounds very rarely come up for sale

I may as well say it first , it depends on the amount of glass/time to do the job

lets say 2 days worth or work

How much would you pay if this was up for sale then?

I wouldn`t say there is a going rate,if it`s top work it will go to the highest bidder.

Am I the only one who finds that this type of work is rubbish. The amounts people work for is stupid. We have a guy here in tewkesbury that does most of the shop fronts in the high street. On average he charges £3.00 for the same job I would charge at least £7. I often wonder if he does it for the glory so to speak as correctly priced domestic would pay much more.

Probably avg price would be £10, and it would take 5 mins, and it would be weekly.

Also there's the advantage of being able to do them early in the morning, before you can do domestics.

That is also the biggest bonus that I find.  With shop fronts it doesn't seem to be the hourly rate so much as being able to do them out of hours so that everything earned is extra.
