We need a ladder ban, that would eliminate almost all of these jokers.  ;D  ;D  ;D   ;)

If he had always worked that way and had an informal arrangement with them, it is likely that he didn't know any better.  Glad to hear that the customer has moved with the times and with technology.  Just a pity they didn't use some technology to contact the old W/C and tell him that he was no longer required.

Whats more annoying is when this happens at a domestic house where you have been cleaning for some time.
I have had it happen quite a few times, often the old cleaner just resumes cleaning and then knocks for his money.

I have even had a new bloke turn up at my customers and say he has taken over from the "other" window cleaner. The customer thought he meant me but in reality this new window cleaner had got hold of the book of an old window cleaner who had disappeared over a year ago.

I get this alot as I cover quite a large area.

We have had someone go round saying they have taken over our round.

We have had a guy we bought some work off start to try cleaning them again a year later.

I have had a guy try to collect our money after we have cleaned it.

To many people out there that want the money but don't want to put in the hard graft to earn it.

the only people who say we need a ladder ban, are jokers like you who are either too scared to go up them, and cant clean a window in the traditional way!

its muppets like you, walking round with your wfp thinking you know it all about the game, when the truth is you havnt got a clue how to clean windows properly
 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ive probably forgot more about window cleaning than you will ever know ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I JUST DID
these muppets really wind me up, of course reach & wash has its advantages, but what do you do if you need to get over a garage and youve got no ladder ? cos you cant climb up your reach n wash pole can ya!
it was a stupid comment by someone who feels threatened by knowledge of true window cleaners

Agree with you Everclean, one thing which winds me up about some wfp users is that they spin the story to potential customers that ladders have been banned. I have no problem about how windows are cleaned and can see a benefit of wfp,but wish they would get new customers by ethical methods rather than scare stories. Im not saying that all wfp users are doing this of course.

yeah ive heard a few spin that line, but the customer usually susses them out when the water sprays through an open window, or they cant do the rear of the house because theres a garage in the way.... lol
and its EVERCLEAN not evergreen

The original poster jumped through all the necessary hoops to get the business legitimately.

Why would the customer ask for quotations if they were happy with the previous w/cs service?

If the old window cleaner (whether wfp or not, that is immaterial) can't do the job to a good standard, or disappears for months then his turning up unannounced is an unprofessional thing to do.

And just as some custy's won't have wfp, more and more (especially businesses) won't have ladders - but that isn't the issue here is it?

lol it was just a joke, people here are really showing their true colours by posts like that.

And there is an awful lots of accusations and assumptions in that.

Too scared? No
Can't clean a window trad? Prob better then you.
Don't have a clue of how to clean windows properly? I'm not even going to answer that.

I JUST DID

Threatened by knowledge of true window cleaners, LMAO, so all of the sudden I have never touched a squeegee before, and never used to be a transnational window cleaner.

yeah ive heard a few spin that line, but the customer usually susses them out when the water sprays through an open window, or they cant do the rear of the house because theres a garage in the way.... lol

And what's that all about, you must be the most ignorant window cleaner on the planet if you would spray through an open window hahahaha, if I need to get over a garage, I call up the night before, or a key, or combination padlock. Or simply just get the ladder of the van D'OH!

You'll get there in the end, and see how stupid those posts were. Seriously, where do people get these silly things from.

Really shows you what they're made of. I can't do anything but just laugh at these posts, I never even said that traditional tools or ladders don't have their place. Just jokingly said ladders should be banned.

tsk tsk  ;)
