Has to be a carp pole really - the stiffest strongest one you can find. You could also buy a Thompson Zensorflex for less than £20 new or why not use a Harris decorators pole for fifteen pounds?

Difficult with you having limited access to the web, you need to find Matts "diy waterfedpole "site-( do a google search) my email addy is jeff.brimble@onetel.com if you get really stuck.

made my owm from a 16m carp pole to do around 40ft job. is brilliant but is a thing you only use occasionally as would not take a great deal of knocking about. brodex are selling their 25ft poles for 78 plus vat including brush at moment . but if you want a pole for most jobs make a harris pole . had mine 3 months now and it is the best 15 quid ever spent. will only use my other poles now if i have to which is very rare on domestic propertys. hope this helps.

thanks all, it sounds like harris decorators poles are worth a go.
are they telescopic or screw together sections?
do you just let tubing run down outside?
are they heavy as said looking for 24 foot pole.

Do a search on here - there was a massive thread and vids on utube about a month ago.

just looked thanks ftp

has anyone tried filling the sections of a fishing pole with expandable foam surely this would make the sections a lot stronger and it wouldnt add much weight , i have thought about this a few times but didnt want to ruin a pole trying,.

As a fisherman, if you fill the sections with foam you will not be able to store the pole sections inside each other. Maybe i am wrong

your 100% right, you would need a bag for them

It only partially works and is very messy and hit and miss to do. Its a chapter/topic by itself ::)
