I have just had a phone call asking me to look at a job for this weekend; a company are having their carpet tiles lifted and want the old glue left on the floor removed.
First thought is something like White spirit?. Any ideas please.

Hi Eric
If the carpet tiles have been laid on tacifier. it is water soluble no specialist chemicals required, just warm water and black/red stripping pads.

Hi Eric
Most tiles are laid on a sticky substance that remain sticky/ tacky but does not dry out unless left without tiles in place, they allow the tiles to be lifted and refitted a number of times, Milliken carpet tiles for instance, are normally laid on tacifier.

Hi Nick,
I suppose this is one reason why Milliken prefers contractors using their Capture Powder, or is that just marketing, because most carpet cleaners just do not like the stuff.

Hi erci
I guess the answer to that one is Milliken manufacture the Capture Powder,so this provides an additional income, they are one of the maunfacturers I work with very closely
