Title: 10% For letting agent -
Post by: suffolkclean on August 04, 2008, 01:36:02 pm
I've read on a few postings about letting agents being offered 10%, on any eot cleans. Does this include carpet cleaning.
I want to contact letting agents again and think that offering them something in return will help.
Do you send them a cheque at the end of the month for 10% of all paid work?
Please could someone give me more info.

Hi

It's up to them to tell you if they take 10% off of your invoice, not all LA's do it.

I have one that takes 10% off of me and charges the tenant also for calling out a contractor.

I have others that don't take anything, if you offer it they may feel you are being unprofessional, ask when going what their payment terms are.

Ok thanks for that Martin do you charge your letting agents for an hourly rate or for the size of the property? Do you have any ideas on how to get new letting agents on board?

Hi

Icharge CC by the metre, cleaning by the job.

To get LA's they need to know you are going to be reliable.

Put a pack together of Intro letter, PL ins, refs, biz card and go round in person and intro yourself.

Then 4 weeks later, do it again, 4 weeks later again, etc.

This way they will get to know you and that you are still in business, also if they lose a cleaner you will be the 1st they think of.
