Hi Guys,
I could do with a bit of help from you - I am new at this game, have been going for about two months and slowly building up a round by door knocking. I do the work the trad way.
I have two questions -
1) How do you access windows that are above a porch or a dormer window? I can not get close with the ladder and normally the roof is so steep I can not get on that either - how do you clean these?
2) Insides - I have had a few customers ask is I do the insides - do you do these the same way as outside? Also how much do you charge?
Any answers would be great.
Cheers

Insides 1 1/2 times the outside price :)

Hi
I use to use a unger exstension pole which you can clip your mop onto and also your blade, This will not do as good as going up a ladder but at least they get some sort of clean.
Inside i use to mop and blade the windows, but make sure you take all of the access of your mop first. Also ask customer to take all clutter of the window ledges.
Inside i now use a slight damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth.

Do you get a good finish if you use the extension pole?

But by using the extension method at least you are trying not to miss a window.
Customers like this
But remeber it takes twice as long to clean than going up a ladder

It`s been said so so many times before but when funds allow it go WFP,if i was starting again i would go staight in with WFP.Cleaning the traditional way is just plain hard work IMO.

Thanks Gents - Looks like I am going to buy a pole tomorrow!!

for dorma bungalows as long as they are on soft ground have some safety spikes fitted to the bottom of your ladders these embed themselves into the soil you can then stretch your ladders over the gutter and onto the cill and they go no were....on hard ground its better been footed by a second person,if this don,t apply to you..... myself I would look at a WFP system,as with a mop and pole you,ll get complaints all day long.

hi mate.
use a pole with an applicator and then blade it the same way, with practice you can do a good job. my advice overal is to take your time and do a good job also always clean the frames inc the top of the frames. it will take twice os long but will pay when you go wfp.also use the min amout of soap.
build a good reputation, and build your round slowly if u can,
dont take on to much cheap work, just enough to pay ya bills then target the bigger houses.
insides i just double the price if its a regular. but maybe you should charge a little more as it wil take longer
