ive been using a dyson for a few yrs now, but as they get more popular, the looks from the client have been a little down the nose,(ive got one,i could have done that) type!
Ive just bought a sebo dart from solutions, the sebo looks nothing like Mrs jones can buy,and the comments are far more positive :)
First impressions ect :) :) :)

I've got a 6 year old sebo 460. This being the 46inch model before the the BS46. The difference in suction between a dyson and this is not even worth comparing.
And it looks the part too.

DAve,
I know what you are saying as I use a Dyson.
I got it because it was designed for Alergy Suffers I think I might have been into cleaning for Health before I came across these Forums without realizing it.
I paid £265 about five years ago.
Trouble I have is Dyson does good job does Sebbo doi t better.
Are there any other suppliers does anyone ever check to see what Mike at Express Cleaning Supplies has on offer.
I respect Nick a lot but everything leads to Soulutions.
-
Ian,
Don't think you will better solutions price for the Sebo
Regards.

I use a Nilfisk GU 250, Its fantasticly well built and similar to the Sebo with twin motors, etc. The only thing is they are rather more expensive than a sebo and doubt any better so If I were to buy again I would opt for a sebo.
Ian,
As I have stated elsewhere, The great thing about Solutions Is the fact they are not In business to rip people off but to simply try and offer great service, which will inturn create a large customer base.
Everyone's a winner ;D ;D

I bought a sebo dart a couple of weeks ago, great machine! did a hotel lounge last week(on the seafront) the owner told me I needn't vacuum as she had done it with her dyson, did it anyway to be sure and it managed to pick up half a bag of sand after her dyson!!!! ;D

John,
I've heard good things about the Dart, do you have any pics??
Paul
-
my sebo also picked up around half a bag, after the customer vacked the carpet with a karcher, it looks simular to te sebo, and as for solutions, price is one thing, and they are great, but the service, is second to none, imo ;D, far better than my local guy.

Hi, I use a tennants which looks like a sebo and works just as well. The customers love it as they can't belive the results just from vacuuming so it gets me off to a great start. I paid £199 for it.

As long as you've got a decent vac, it is not that important what model it is.
Something I do with all my customers, but is especially useful if you find yourself in an uncomfortable position if Madam has a similar model is this. Firstly acknowledge that they are great machines, but like all vacs, it's vital to keep them in tip top condition. Show them things like why it's important to change a bag when it's only about 2/3 full. If it's bagless, don't let the dirt build up as it increases the soiling rate of the filters. Show them how to clean the filters and how often. Rinse them well with fresh water to remove the "clean invisible" detergent residue soil. Tell them that they must be totally dry before they're re-fitted as the air goes through them to cool the electric motot, and damp filters + electric motor= BANG :o Now show them how to vac the carpet properly. They need to do this just once a week, the rest of the time they can do their normal quick "litter pickup". By now, they will be pleased that you have shown them how they can keep their carpet looking pristine between your visits, and they will be delighted that they had the wisdom to buy a vacuum cleaner that's good enough for the professionals :)
By the way, I run a couple of Victor Gold widetrack models. They're fine machines, but next time it will be Sebo all the way.
Safe and happy cleaning :)

John,
Thanks for sending the pic, Its a radical looking machine, Is it bagless??
I'll try and put the pic on here if I can figure it out.
Paul

I think if you check my email you will find a considerable number of occasions when I have offered advice on using other suppliers both for chemicals and machinery,
Solution Uk will always try to offer customers the best deal possible along with the after sales service to compliment it.
After all we are all working to provide the best for our customers whatever the business we are in.

So it the Dart a newer model than the 36? Has it got the twin motors?
Al
-
I spoke to sebo uk and they advised me togo for the sebo 36.Reasons being if your going to be carrying it around in your van with other equipment then the 36 is a bit more robust.
joe
-
I reversed over my sebo with a transit and it still works ;D
-
Steve, why wou;d you do that :)
-
the bairn left it out of the van without tellong me ::)
-
Joe
Bit surprised they told you that, as there rep was demo it at a cc open day.
Len
-
yes the sebo has twin motors and the head swivels too so great to use because you don't need to stand directly behind it! ain't tried the transit test yet though!
john
-
re the transit test, the result is after you run over it,it will fit under the sofa :)

i use a rainbow vac this has the great selling point of the dirt being visible in the water. it has reasonable suction but a very good beater system. the accesories are also very well made, although the machine is a bit plasticky. the 1500 pound price tag puts people off
-
jcbdca
Is it you selling the rainbow on ebay and this is just a plug to help sell it ;D
paul
-
i work for someone who brought two into the franchise???? so i am not this person. they are vastly overpriced and plasticky but not a bad vac
-
I use a Kirby G4. I can,t understand why they are not more popular with ccs.
Approx £1,500 new I paid £250 there are loads of them everyday in loot
Regards Michel
-
Karcher CW50, excellent.
-
I use the sebo 36 and although it would appear to work as well as the dyson, when you attach the sebo's extension hose, there is a definite loss in suction.
When taking on a stair job where pets are involved, I generally risk the distainful glare and take the dyson in.
I spoke to Dyson about the possibility of them bring out a 'commercial' model that would be available direct as opposed to the highstreet. Unfortunately their bean counters don't think its a viable move. I have to be honest and say that had the choice been there and with knowledge of the sebo, I'd have gone for the Dyson.

Dyson do manurfacture a commercial model called a constantmax I think, check there web site. I have one which is now used at home since i got my nilfisk.

re Dyson verse Sebo I think its each to their own.
Regarding pet hair i find it hard with any machine to fully get it all out.
I have found on stairs using the sebo with the henry brush attachment picks them up well ( the oblong strong brush one, you can get them on ebay quite cheap).
Regards the floor carpet I find sometimes I have to get on my hans and knees with the little turbo vac ( hunter also on ebay at £23) this ususll gets it up but can take an age.
