Post by: seandyer2003 on July 31, 2008, 11:22:03 pm
on my first cleans i have been really doing frames well, do you clean them every time, or every other, is it better to keep clean or miss sometimes to keep speed??

we clean every time, spending time on first clean it is quick and easy to do, if changing from trad to this say you will clean frame free for a month or 2, then add £1 or £2 if they want them clean all the time

i am changing from trad, so i obviously charge alot more at present for frames, isnt it a bit cheeky to ask for more for frames if you have to do it anyway

if your trad and charge more for frames, when you change over it is far far cheaper is that cheeky or a very good deal in the customers eyes, I work as a business they get extra they pay, I used to charge loads for frame cleaning now its in with the price I would say thats a bonus for them  ;)

Don't do both I would say, don't put your prices up and change to wfp, that doesn't go down well.

Why would you charge extra for frames Ian, even if it's just a pound? On your second go, it only takes a couple of seconds to keep it up to standard.

I found that customers were delighted that there was no price increase, made accepting wfp a whole lot easier I found. But that's just my personal experience of course.  :)

I did not do this on every house, only on ones that needed to go up and the way I said it to them they were happy, when I was trad I never cleaned the frames as standard and used to charge quite high for it tbh. I made it clear on these houses that they would be having there frames cleaned free of charge for a couple of cleans
