Go for the Unger large microfibres, I think they are the best on the market, they are used dry, once they get too damp they leave smears.

We buy them in packs of 5 for £20 and I sell dozens of them to my customers for £8.00 each.

They are ideal for window cleaning and general polishing, chrome and ceramic come up gleaming with them, customers love them.

Last week I sold 5 to a lady from Cheltenham who was on holiday up here seeing her sister!

When you wash them, don't tumble dry them, as the fibres tighten up and they are not as effective.

And don't use any detergent when you wash them.

Never worked for me, they come out just as bad as when I put them in, how do you get them clean??

I've used detergent on them for 2,5 years, and they still do a good job, not as good as new of course, but I can live with it.

its ok to use a very small amount of detergent, but never fabric softener. Tumble drying is fine too. I have been using them for a couple of years with no problems. Much better than scrims.

The microfiber sill cloths from wc warehouse are good too.  ;D

Yep, you can do that.
I usually mist the window with a sprayer and then wipe and buff up. Cleans them up lovely.  8)
