HI I AM JUST STARTING UP COULD ANY ONE TELLME WHICH IS THE BEST RO SYSTEM TO GO FOR. RO-MAN OR MERLIN. CHEERS ???
-
ive not a clue been asking the same question and the feed back is very mixed. one person will say one and another the oppersite.
best thing to do on here is read guys posts on a broard range of subjects to see who knows what there on a bout and who is just banging there gums about something they have read else where.
a very trustworthy if not the most is Andrew Macann. his advise to me was the merlin wouldnt suit me as it has an awfull lot of waste water and i'm on a water meter. i surpose its down to your personal requirements doode.

merlin produces water quick and wastes loads.
Ro-man has less waste and produces water slower than merlin.
Swings and roundabouts.
It depends on your needs, home environment and budget. But rest assured, there is a RO unit out there that will suit your needs.

hi again what if the pressure of the water is not the best do i have to fit a pump?
-
If your pressure is low you will definately benefit from a booster pump.
Re R/O it does depend on your requirements.
In my opinion go for the biggest you can afford within reason.
I currently run a RO-Man 40/40 with booster pump
Suits my requirements just fine.
Remember you must flush regularly.

thanks mate the more feed back i get the better.
-
it will also depend on your water , what is your starting tds?, if it is high then a merlin will produce water quicker, but it wont bring tds down low enough, and you will use more resin which will cost you more.

go for a 300 gallon r/osomos system(all the companies mentioned on here sell them) fit it with an ibc plastic holding tank into yr garage or shed, then when the water has been filtered and is pure you will have to pump it into yr tank in yr van,or into containers if you are using a trolly system.
If this system doesn,t supply you with enough water have a look at the merlin system, which i haven,t a clue about.....someone may beable to explain it to you in layman's terms.
also if your tap water reading is low some lads just fill up their tanks in their van with tap water, the water then goes through a d.i vessel and comes out pure at brush point ..again someone else may be able to explain it better as that is just my general understanding of it.
all the best with yr journey shiney!!

How much water will you need to produce and how often? Or if you dont know how much water, how many houses are you looking to be through in a day? And what size. If your a 2 man operation you may well have to go for a 4040 system.
The best you can afford though is good advice.
