I believe Ben has a powder that you apply and leave on for a very long dwell time.

Potentially colour may be removed so advise customer.

Hi,

1. Clean the leather first (this rmeoves excess grease from the surface).

2. Apply degreaser (this soaks into the leather and then absorbs the grease out), once dry (roughly 20mins) it will have removed the grease, or some of it.

3. Brush it off and clean the leather again. If theres still some grease re-apply.

After removing the grease you may need to restore the colour, which mentioned above increases the price of the job.

When quoting for grease removal, always add on a bit extra as most times you need to restore the colour.

I'd like to know how this product works I think Judy sells something simular.

I spoke to Paul from Leeds about this but he was concerned about the redyeing as I don't think he wanted to get involved with that but in hind sight it is probably quite easy (when you know how :o)

Degreasing is not a particularly quick process and may take some time.  We have a degreasing spray that is highly effective on both pigments and anilines.  Pigments amy take more applications to get rid of all the grease.  It is important to get rid of all the grease before attempting to recolour with pigment as there will be adhesion problems if there is any grease left in the leather.

If you want ot know any more details give us a ring on 01423 881027 and we can talk you through the full process.

I think Kev Loomes posted some good photos of a recliner he had successfully used this process on.
