Title: Window cleaners etiquette
Post by: fergus77 on July 18, 2008, 09:35:56 pm
Hey all,

Just saw one of my customers today and they told me that another company had been round trying to undercut me!

Job was a 3 monthly job for £20 and this company told the guy they would beat me and do it for £15!!!

Luckly for me i always do a real nice job for him and he's happy to keep me on for a clean every 6 weeks for £15!, still quids in  ;D ;D

Not happy at this company from cornwall, thought the etiquette was to punt customers and "NOT" undercut the window cleaner.

Any thoughts peeps??

Iv'e only been at the business 2 years but the guy that trained me up always said, "When canvasing, NEVER TRY TO UNDER CUT THE GUY DOING THE JOB"..

Plane and simple to me really, and good manners..

Shame they never got my job though   :D ;) :D

My cutomer was just 2 impressed with my apperance, manners and quality of work
