We made the mistake of going Ltd straight away, cost £125 to do and puts your insurance costs through the roof!
We went back to a partnership after it was divulged that having a Ltd status puts insurance companies off you big time, insurance companies also like you to have at least 1 years experience of window cleaning and can prove this b4 they start to give you lower costs in insurance.
New window cleaners are the biggest scare for insurers as the job is dangerous enough to the regular guys who have been doing it for years.

I'm not in the window cleaning bus, but domestic cleaning (and I'm not Ltd), but I tried a few at the beginning and was quoted really stupid prices (up to £3k per year) for up to 10 peeps. In the end I got it on-line from Groupama, who allow me to add employees as U go on a pro-rata rate. It is realy difficult to find employers liability at the best of times, when most dom cleaners only want a few hours work a week, and thereby not earning enough for business to even cover insurance.....I think it is about time these insurance companies realised that it ain't all black and white and there are grey areas too!!
good luck ;D

Hi
I was told by my insurance that I'm only allowed to clean offices/homes ect
be course I also do industrial cleaning I need separate insurance, they wanted to know how many cleaners would be involved in the industrial side, what a nightmare, still joys of running a company.
