Dependening on where I am, some days I will do around 25-30, but not big houses and obviously not that well paid!
Other days I will only do 10 houses, but earn more
-
cant see the point personally. It depends on the size of building. Are you on about houses or office blocks? If doing houses then 14 or 15, offices are priced to the length of time taken. I have some that are Fifty pound and others that are two hundred and fifty pound
-
If I havnt done 30 in a day , I am dissappionted ! :'(
-
Paulscotney seems like you have a problem with sheffield, miners and houses that are under £10 to clean. Get a life ;)
-
isnt this thread going to head down the " i earn more than you" road, with most saying they do 30 + and earn 500 quid a day

No it is only saying how many houses are cleaned ! DO NOT QUOTE FIGURES ::) :-X ;D

who cares ???
what a pointless post
you could do one and make 500
or 30 and make 90
why is the number of buildings relevant ???
unless you have a round that is made up of identical houses
all right next to each other ::)
why do you think this is important
there is no such thing as an average day
none of this can apply to anyone else cos all rounds are different
as are all days ::)

Mr Thorpe , why dont you take up knitting ? You could just get on with knitting a few jumpers , and it wont stress you out ! I get dizzy just looking at your manic posts ::)

jonah
i may be manic ;D
and stressy
but this is still a pointless post
"how many houses"
"how much a day"
do you judge yourself by what others do ???
i dont
pointless post

i have a round in manchester that is identical council houses, one window up and down at front, and 5/6 round back all just medium size panes tho, all next to each other get, and £4/5 a house, needs to go up though not had price rise in 3-4 years:(Can really tell now with inflation etc, however i can do 40-50 on a good day, thats 5-6 an hour, one evry 9-10 mins=200+. So like everyone said its not really about how many buildings, but certainly about how quick and efficient you are.

Good on ya mate ;D

Paulscotney firstly you kick off because you dont like the topic off this thread, but still post on it and then you decide to slate an area of the country. Dont worry yourself the white rose brigade arent upset at your digs but just concerned that you havnt got anything better to do on a friday night.
-
Im not upset mate but found it strange that you should slate the area that i live and the price that i charge for some of my work. £3 per house for many of my houses, £5 and id be in dreamland ;D

In this case I am in almost complete agreement with Thorpey (except he didn't need to make the comment about the post being pointless!()
Better to ask how long the average semi will take than to ask how many houses you can do in a day, or even to break it down further and ask how long the average window should take, Trad & WFP for comparison.
In that way you can then judge where you are speed wise compared to others, and to know if you need to make changes to your working practice.
For instance; an average 3 pane casement (trad) window will - or should - be able to be done in 90 seconds (and for that you will still need to be a competent window cleaner)
For WFP that is 30 seconds.
If a standard semi with reasonable access has 11 windows (including doors) done WFP it should be able to be completed in 11/13 minutes. (time taken from pulling up to driving away)
Trad, 15 to 20 minutes.
The above paragraph quotes ball park figures for what a reasonably skilled and experienced window cleaner should be able to achieve, if you are not getting close to those figures for instance, then you now have a target to aim for and can work on your method and work practice to see what you need to change to achieve similar figures.
How many houses a day is just too vague...too many variables...
