Yell.com put me on by mistake for four months and I never knew it was on till they invoiced me for it. We always ask where the leak comes from and if they just say internet we can usually find which web site ( we got 4) from the stats, the problem with yell.com is they figure badly on the natural listings so unless you go to yell then search you won't be found. We have found that busines's that pay for yell quite often search for other busines's on yell. We have a customer street site that has worked very well for us but may not for everyone

I've noticed a sharp drop in enquiries, I put this down to the weather and the credit crunch.
I've started a course to qualify as an accounting technician, my wife is already a Chartered Accountant and although she works full time, she has a lot of contacts who refer "homers" to her. So during the day i now spend my time on Excel and QuickBooks Pro and the business is growing quickly(almost too quickly as i'm a learner lol).
It provides a consistant income, and thankfully is not weather dependent.
I was really fed up with the weather last summer, and this has been worse, so I'm selling on half my kit, I have a second van which I'm keeping to do the odd drive and treating myself to an Astra VXR Nurburgring which I collect tommorow ;D
I just felt I needed to try something different as I couldnt be bothered with the effort required to drum up business and fortunately it's started off well.
I guess for PowerWashing alone it's time to tighten the belts and ride out the storm.
Oh and anyone requiring the services of an experienced accountant and her trusty assistant ;D give me a shout.
Anyway back to the books........
