Whats that stuff you can get that fills in the scratches on windows? I've heard of some stuff that works on here before, can anyone tell me what it is and where I can get it from?
cheers

these scratches are all around the edges of one particular window in my customers house, possibly done by the painter trying to remove the excess he'd managed to get on the glass. Looks like he'd used a razor to scrape it off without wetting the window first :o

I repeat, TOOTHPASTE. Try it. It works.

Its almost certainly caused by sandpaper when rubbing down the frames from your description. I see it quite often
Don't think you will get it out and my advice is don't get involved. You may make it worse and it isn't your problem.

Hi Vince, I'm not going to do the work myself, its just that I told the custy I may be able to tell them about a product Ive heard of on here before and then they could use it themselves ;)

Just ordinary white toothpaste. Rub in circular fashion with soft cloth. light scratches disappear, deep ones very much alleviated.
