I've seen some that resemble a tube and are advertised as greenhouse or shed heaters - anyone here use them in their van - any good?

get yourself a small oil filled rad, argos do them for 25 quid,

Challenge Mini Oil Filled Radiator 700W

you back your van on your drive, so easy enough to run a power lead, just set it to the lowest setting and it comes on to protect against frost
