I always used to do my own cars until they made them unservicable.
Next question. ;)

they have been selling those things in spain for about 4 years now where i first saw them i dont think they will take off in the uk if you was to do a standard 3 bed house with it it would take a very long time and there is a knack to useing them plus when you see it used its on the same piece of clean glass and not one covered in dust and bird crap. I think people would give them a go then realise they are a waste of money and lets face it people have a window cleaner mainly  because they just can't be bothered to clean them thereselves.

Do they ever show the close-ups of the were the magnets have scratched the glass? Two pieces of metal stuck together and sliding against a sheet of glass,  you tell me it doesn't scratch the glass.

These have been selling on ebay for ages, i went to crawley the other day and there was a bloke in the bust part with a stall and a window for people to demonstrate on, i was outside a shop oposite for 15 mins (waiting for wife who was in shop) and not one person tried it out, i didnt as didnt want to draw attention to it with my window cleaning skills.

They have been selling those gizmos for years and years. I bought one at the Ideal Home Exhibition over twenty years ago. Twenty five more like. They do work, sort of,but they are never going to be a threat to us.

They have string attached to them so that if one falls then you just pull it in, a real must have for high rise flats. Problem is that when you go round the window the string gets caught up and leave all soap trailing behind.
It was a custy that told me that.

We watched a demo at a local market and I said to the other half 'we could be out of business' - he pointed out the problem that the demonstrator had - as all trad cleaners know - even the best blade work in the world still can cause a nasty run from the top if not scrimmed off!!!- and who but the most diligent houseperson is disciplined enough to clean their windows after the novelty has worn off

Hi,

Like Vince,

I saw one being demonstrated 25years back. They are old enough for me to have one in my vintage window cleaning collection.
