Post by: simonwonder on July 13, 2008, 08:58:12 pm
hi all
after no success with selling my van and round and all current advertising not performing i was going to try to give the client a free first clean subject to a regular contract being taken
just wondered whether anyone has done this and what success you had with it
regards
simon

Simon, have you had any success with add ons such as gutters and fascia cleans? Is your area (Swindon i think) saturated with cleaners?

Personally i wouldn't do it - especially the first clean 'cos it's the hardest of all for wfp then when they dump you you'll be absolutely gutted.

I recall a guy on the forum called Justin was going to give it a try for a limited time.  No idea how it worked out though.  If I were going to do something like that, I would probably offer the third or fourth clean free.  That way, at least you have already had a chance to cut your losses if the customer ditches you after the freebie.
