this is where i keep my flow control valve, i see topics all the time where they get damaged sliding along the ground ,this one is 8 months old and still like new
-
But that means everytime you want to stop the water you have to lower the pole!
lot of messing if u ask me
-
yeah it might not suit everyone but i only stop when window is finished so im lowering pole anyway not much extra water wasted the time it takes me to lower pole
-
:)

i had something like this a while ago, just more added weight up top and not really needed in my opinion (fine if it works for you)
i just set the varistream and un clip the ez snap when i need it to start/stop
-
Mine's on the bottom end of the pole. I find this the most useful place since I
sometimes want to stop the water whilst still scrubbing and then turn it on again.

I'm sorry to do this, folks, but it's NOT a flow control valve. It's a stop valve.
The two things are completely different animals designed to do two different functions.

My tap is on the end of my hose (hose reel) so only one tap needed then my tap is fitted in a leather holster on my hip ;)
-
Yep it's good to be hip. ;)

I want to get one of the hip leather holsters but wheres best to get one as fed up leaning down when pole is at top window.

Yes, they do have a website now I believe. I tried on of those holsters but the taps always leak a bit once they get a old and you end up looking like your incontinance pad has been leaking.

Ian, you never fail to amaze me. always plugging your website :)
I fit a water stop at the top of the pole similar to Wally. Use to have one on the hip but when the connections wore a bit I would get frustrated with a wet leg so I binned that idea as it was ridiculous. Stop flow is on the pole so that when it's windy and my pole is extended 40ft or whatever at least I don't have to worry about pole blowing over whilst I hunt on the ground for a stop valve.

I use the gas taps like the first pic get them in B&Q just over a fiver, always carry spares in the van so as soon as i have a problem i can fix it within a minute. I have my taps on all the pole hoses then don't have any problems whipping the hosereel in. Rarely leak unless the hose is just about to give up. Also use the hip holster too and never had a problem.

this is how i use my flow contoller, its easy to use and it doesnt get dragged along the floor.

I think I have tried just about all these and I find the best and easiest way is just to bend the pole hose double as and when you want to stop the water.
