Post by: kinder clean on July 10, 2008, 12:48:23 am

Just working on a letter to a customer who had been using a Bissell domestic cleaner and wanted to BIG UP some comparison stats and was wondering if anyone can tell me the answer to this question:

If I use approx 300PSI how many litres of water roughly am I putting down per minute??

Cheers

Paul

Paul, its an un-fair question.  P.S.I.  has nothing to do with the amount of water used, its all to do with volume.  Let us know the volume, oh yeah, then you wouild have the answer anyway.

Best, Dave.

Paul

Your pump will have a gpm rating (gallons per minute). This tells you the flow rate of the pump which I think is the info you are after. For example the pump on my TM pump is rated at 5 gallons per minute. On my portable it is @ 1 gallon per minute. So they can both run at the same psi but there is a vast difference in the amount of water applied.

If you look at your pump the info should be on the label or speak to the supplier.

Hope this helps

say whatever figure emphasises your point the best,  it can range from 5lts up to 40lts  (it can go  higher but only in heavy industrial applications) but not usually above 15lts.

Depends also on the size of the orifice in the jets.

For a perfect answer, do this.

Get an empty bucket.

Run your wand for one minute into the bucket.

After that minute, measure the water in the bucket.

Easy.
