Here are a few "drawings" that I've made from jpg photos I found on the web.

NB If the pictures don't display, right click on the placeholder and choose Show Picture.

WF brush

Vacuum machine

Pressure washer

They are dead easy to make with free software that you've probably already got. You may be able to use other software.

Step 1 - open your jpeg file in Microsoft Photo Editor

Step 2 - go to Effects, Edge and choose Thick or Thin as you want. Play with both and you'll soon find out which you need.

Step 3 - save the result as a bitmap. Close the file.

Step 4 - find the bitmap and open it with Paint.

Step 5 - save the bitmap as monochrome bitmap

Step 6 - still in Paint, save as a GIF file if you want to put it on the web.

And the job's done!

This is great for producing single-colour flyers as they print much sharper than jpegs.

or just use photoshop and select on filter on any picture. i think its photocopy ;) don't use bitmap images unless the are extremly high res otherwise the quality will suffer

yep photoshop, filter, sylize, photocopy here is what is does.

In relation to the comment you've got to get out more, I was impressed.

When I saw your leaflets I wondered how you'd done it. I'm pretty sure you are the first person to do this (black and white line drawings on a window cleaning leaflet). The reason i'm pretty sure is that I have seen a lot of leaflets on here.

Well I think it is a good idea. Just one problem for me, no microsoft photo editor or photoshop.

Does anyone know of any other free software that will do this?

type in pictures to cartoons in google I had some software ages ago that did the same thing I wanted to test it out but all it did was the same thing basic but was ok
